Land Acknowledgement
We honour that the land upon which we will offer retreats and events rests on the traditional lands of the Michi Saagiig (Mississauga Anishinaabeg) and Chippewas of the Anishinabeg Nation, governed by the traditional treaty known today as the Williams Accord. Our work within this territory acknowledges the resilience and the longstanding contributions of all of the Indigenous Nations. We maintain alliance with the values instilled in the traditional roles of the Michi Saagiig as PeaceKeepers, and consider the land leased to us as sacred.
We honour the land as a significant environmental watershed, working on it with mindfulness and care, respecting the protocols as set out by the GRCA. We pledge to expand and create community by building alliances with local service providers, to source our goods and foodstuffs locally, and to develop, support and extend relationships with local businesses and the broader community.
